28 FEBRUARY—This is where Zionism, during all the decades agents of this pernicious ideology have spent infesting the republic’s institutions, social fabric, intellectual life, and public discourse, has led America. Americans shrugged for decades as the Israel lobbies, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee in the lead, corrupted Congress and as many presidential administrations as they could coerce or blackmail. There was at times resistance in the White House, but it never proved enduring or effective. The case is made—wholly unproven, we must rush to note—that Kennedy may have paid the highest price for his objections to the Israelis’ nascent nuclear program.
And now America wages a war not in its own interests but in the Zionists’ diabolic cause. How many thousands of uniformed men and women are now wasting their time and risking their lives to serve not their country but Israel’s extremist obsession with domination over Eretz Israel, a “Greater Israel” that is to extend across West Asia from the Nile to the Euphrates?
This started when Truman, by a credible account Kennedy shared with Gore Vidal, accepted a suitcase with $2 million in it while fighting for his political survival during his 1948 presidential campaign. The ridiculously overrated haberdasher from Missouri, a manipulable tool of the brand new Deep State, made the United States the first nation to recognize the State of Israel—this minutes after its founding on 14 May 1948. Isaiah Kenen, an already-active lobbyist in behalf of “the Jewish state,” opened A.I.P.A.C.’s doors six years later.
And it ends Friday evening—so far, there is surely more to come—with Donald Trump robotically regurgitating Zionist hasbara, proven lies start to finish, to explain the just-commenced U.S.–Israeli attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
A war waged solely in behalf of a crazed foreign power that draws its legitimacy from preposterous retellings of ancient Old Testament myths: This is what began Friday evening East Coast time. This is what now has F–35s in the air and two aircraft carriers floating in the seas surrounding Iran. This is what comes of all the decades of complacency abroad among Americans. This is what comes of the indifference of Americans not only to others but to themselves.
